Properties, Characteristics & Parameters of PTFE Pipe

PTFE pipe is white and opaque, mainly including conduit, hose, liner pipe, PTFE Pipebraided reinforced pipe, etc. PTFE tube has excellent high and low temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance. It can transport liquid or gas with a temperature as high as 260℃ with high chemical purity, which is most suitable for a wide range of continuous working temperatures. The excellent electrical properties of PTFE tube also make it the most suitable material in electronic and electrical fields, which is mainly used in electrical insulation sheath, chemical transportation, heat exchanger, medical urinary catheter and surgical vascular bypass.

Performance of PTFE pipe:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance.
It can bear the action of all strong acids (including aqua regia), strong oxidants, reductants and various organic solvents except molten alkali metal, fluorination medium and sodium hydroxide above 300℃.

2. Strong insulation resistance.
It can avoid the influence of environment and frequency, and the volume resistance can reach 1018 ohm/cm, low dielectric loss and high breakdown voltage.

3. Excellent high and low temperature resistance.
It is not much affected by temperature, and the temperature range is wide, which is between -190℃ and +260℃.

4. Unique self-lubricating property.
It has the smallest friction coefficient in plastics and is an ideal oil-free lubricating material.

5. Prominent non-sticky surface.
None of the known solid materials can adhere to the surface, which is a solid material with the smallest surface energy.

6. Excellent atmospheric aging resistance, radiation resistance and low permeability.
Long-term exposure to the atmosphere, the surface and properties remain unchanged with valuable incombustibility—limited oxygen index below 90.
